1. Introduction

MorningPick ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your personal data when you use our platform.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (hashed).
• Wardrobe data — photos, brand, type, color, material, fit, season, purchase date, and wear history of clothing items you upload.
• Usage data — saved outfits, swipes, AI-generated listings, and environmental impact scores.
• Technical data — anonymized analytics collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase).

3. How we use your data

All data is used exclusively to deliver the MorningPick service:

• Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• Store and display your digital wardrobe.
• Generate AI-powered outfit suggestions and resale listings.
• Calculate and display your environmental impact score.
• Send notifications about wardrobe reminders (in-app only).

We do not use your data for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose beyond providing the service itself.

4. Data storage & security

Your data is stored on Supabase, a SOC 2-certified cloud database platform. All database requests are secured with Row Level Security (RLS), which ensures each user can only access their own data. Your password is hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Images are stored in an encrypted Supabase Storage bucket.

5. AI processing

Wardrobe item data (type, brand, color, material, season, fit, wear count) is sent to Groq API for outfit generation and resale listing creation. Groq processes this data ephemerally — it is not stored, cached, or used to train models. By using MorningPick, you consent to this processing.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Groq — AI inference for outfit and listing generation.
• Open-Meteo — weather data (no personal data transmitted).
• Vercel — hosting and content delivery.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

7. Your rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all your personal data we hold.
• Rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing of your personal data.

8. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated records (wardrobe items, outfits, photos) are permanently removed from our database within 7 days.

9. Cookies

MorningPick uses only essential cookies — a session token stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you authenticated. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising cookies.

10. Children's privacy

MorningPick is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of MorningPick after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
